Even with sunshine, our temperatures didn’t make it to 70 degrees today. Temperatures will be warmer over the next few days.
With high pressure still in control, expect this period of dry weather to continue. If you weren’t a fan of the chilly temperatures this morning, you’ll be happy to know it won’t be as cool the next few days.
No significant rain is in the forecast for this week, but a weak cold front could bring a few showers on Friday. After that front, it’s another stretch of sunshine and cooler temperatures for the weekend.
Highs over the weekend are expected to be in the 60s, with overnight lows possibly close to 50. Now that’s going to feel chily.
That Haze in the Sky is Actually Smoke
Many of you asked about the haze in the sky on Monday. That haze was indeed smoke from the wild fires that have been burning on the west coast.
The smoke got caught up in the jet stream, and the smoke has now traveled east across the northern United States.
Forecast models show the smoke lingering until Friday and then moving out following a cold front.
The good news is, the smoke is not affecting our air quality. The air quality remains good through the end of the week.
