Kyiv: A Russian drone strike narrowly missed a train carrying former high-profile European leaders near the Ukraine-Poland border this week, in what Ukrainian officials are characterising as a deliberate, albeit failed, assassination attempt or a stark warning shot aimed at international support for Kyiv.
According to an exclusive report by US broadcaster NPR World, the incident occurred just moments after a carriage transporting several dignitaries, including former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, had traversed the same section of track.

The targeted infrastructure, a railway line critical for transporting international aid and visiting officials into war-torn Ukraine, was struck by a Russian drone in the early hours of Wednesday.
