A horrific supercar crash in Irvine, California, has left two people dead, including a former Hooters calendar model, with family members now alleging a secret relationship between the victims. The high-performance McLaren sports car, reportedly travelling at speed, erupted in a fireball, killing both occupants instantly.

The victims have been identified as 27-year-old Alexis "Lexi" Kramer, a former Hooters calendar girl, and 48-year-old James "Jim" Wehr, a prominent Irvine financial adviser. The devastating incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, Pacific Standard Time, leaving behind a charred wreckage and a trail of unanswered questions.

Accusations of a Secret Affair

Compounding the tragedy, Ms Kramer's sister, Brittany Kramer, has publicly claimed that Wehr told her sister he was divorcing his wife just hours before the fatal crash. Speaking to the NY Post Metro, Brittany Kramer stated, "She told me that he told her he was divorcing his wife." She further revealed that her sister believed Wehr was a married man but claimed he assured her the divorce process was underway. "She was convinced he was going to get a divorce and leave his wife for her," Brittany Kramer added.

The NY Post Metro reported that Lexi Kramer had shared photos of herself with Wehr in the McLaren on her Instagram account mere hours before the catastrophic collision. The posts, which have since been removed or made private, captured moments of the pair together, including one reportedly captioned, "When you ask him to slow down but he loves to drive fast."

The Fiery Wreckage

Emergency services responded to reports of a single-vehicle accident on Jamboree Road near Island Lagoon at approximately 2:15 AM PST. First responders arrived to find the McLaren 600LT engulfed in flames, a stark testament to the ferocity of the impact. Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial investigations by the Irvine Police Department suggest that speed was a significant factor in the crash, though a detailed report is yet to be released. The powerful British-manufactured supercar, capable of reaching speeds well over 300 kilometres per hour, was left unrecognisable after the inferno, reducing it to a twisted husk of metal and carbon fibre.

A Community Stunned

James Wehr was a well-known figure in Irvine's financial sector, serving as the managing director and wealth management adviser at the Irvine office of financial services giant Merrill Lynch. The company issued a statement acknowledging the tragedy and offering condolences to his family, as reported by the NY Post Metro. "We are saddened by the news of James Wehr's passing and our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time," a Merrill Lynch spokesperson said.

Lexi Kramer had garnered a significant following during her time as a Hooters calendar model, having appeared in the iconic publication several times. Her sister described her as a "free spirit" who had a "big heart" and was always willing to help others. The abrupt and tragic end to both their lives has left family, friends, and colleagues grappling with the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident and the revelations that have since emerged.
